British GT racing drivers Aaron Scott ( and Keith Ahlers drove to a superb podium finish, taking 3rd place in the first International GT Festival in Bahrain at the wheel of their Morgan Aero 8 last weekend.

It was the first visit for GT category cars to the new Bahrain circuit, which hosted the inaugural Middle Eastern GP earlier this year. The team competed in the GT3 category which made up over half of the 48 car grid. The GT3 class is for production based GT cars and team Aero's unique Morgan competed in an impressive field comprising of Ferrari 360's, Porsche GT3's as well as the more powerful Viper's and Lamborghini's to name but a few.

After a series of qualifying races the Team Aero Morgan lined up in 8th position in class and 24th position overall for the one hour endurance race. Aaron started the race by driving a sensational first lap passing an astonishing 9 cars to climb to 4th position in class. After an impressive scrap with some more powerful GT2 cars Aaron brought the car in to the pits to hand over to team mate Keith Ahlers. A well executed pit stop allowed Keith to start his stint in a strong 2nd position. Keith drove a solid stint bringing the car home in 3rd position in class (11th overall) securing a superb podium finish for the British team. This result saw Team Aero placed as the top British GT3 team.

Aaron said, " I have really enjoyed racing in Bahrain, it's a very impressive facility! The car worked fantastically all weekend and the team did a sterling job. Its great to have finished such a high profile race on the podium and to give the more powerful GT2 cars a run for their money! I'd like to thank our sponsors from HA Travel Services and the Hawar Resort Hotel for their support this weekend and look forward to racing in Bahrain again soon!"

After this impressive performance to end the 2004 season Aaron is now preparing his race programme for 2005. To register your interest in becoming a race team sponsor please contact
